Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This guest house is a hidden gem! It's not just comfortable and clean (which it totally is!), but it also has this warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The host is absolutely fantastic – incredibly friendly and fun! He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. It felt more like staying with family than at a guest house.
Lovely place and people! Had a comfortable bed, clean room with sea view and Ibrahim was a great host :) it’s perfect to get to know other people, and the rooftop might well be the best spot in town to watch the sun rising above the sea
From the time we arrived we felt directly very welcomed! Mohammed is a great host who really wants his guests to feel like they’re at home :)
He arranged snorkeling and diving for us while we were there so we would not have to worry about anything. We saw beautiful places at the Red Sea and had a great time.
The room itself it rather simple, but has overall everything you need.
Authentic and friendly experience in Egypt, with great opportunities to snorkel and delicious food. Accomodation is simple but it hasall what you need. The sense of community makes you feel home. Fady and Abdou are great hosts! Thank you
Omar is a great Host... He will do the extra mile to make sure you get the right service. Great clean quiet place not far from town centre... But far enough to have a quiet and comfortable sleep. Terrace us phenomenal!!!
We spent a week at Rayhana, the guesthouse is quiet and clean, but you can meet a lot of people from around the world, sharing experiences with you.
Sadly we couldnt meet the host (Ibrahim), but we had the pleasure to meet Mahmoud, he was very kind and he did everything to make us comfortable during all the stay. Also we had the chance to speak about Egyptian culture and it was very interesting.
10/10
Omar is a great host, taking care and looking after , the hostel is very clean and friendly environment . Super nice and in a very quiete area though close to center
I only spent one night at this guest house, but Ibrahim (who owns the property) was a great host, and we spent a couple of hours chatting and watching football in his private lounge. The property has sea facing views and is clean and comfortable, and the rate included a very decent breakfast.
Wonderful guest house to stay in Marsa Alam. Ibrahim, the owner, and Mahmud, the house keeper, are excelent hosters. The rooms are big and have mosquito nets. The breakfast is amazing. And the common terrace is very charming.
Marsa Alam is a very nice place to dive and snorkel, it has wonderful beaches and way less tourists than the northern towns in the red sea.
