Tayyeb, the owner, is very discreet yet keeps an eye on everything so that his guesthouse is very well run. The whole place, rooms, garden, house, are decorated with taste. The breakfast and food are delicious. Only regret is that I wasn’t aware of the set dinner time so we went with the a la carte option (also really good) but missed on some chef’s special. Do ask about meal times.
The location is a little remote but it’s a perfect base to explore the West Bank (5 min drive from the Valley of the Kings). All in all a great stay. More expensive than other properties in Egypt but it is worth every penny. I wish we had a couple more days in Luxor to actually spend more time at the property (we were out all day visiting archaeological sites). I’d love to come back.

We stayed at this beautiful guesthouse on the West Bank of Luxor, and it was by far the BEST accommodation we experienced during our Egypt trip. Despite its location in a quiet village, the apartment exceeded expectations with its modern appliances, spacious layout, and stunning balcony views with such an affordable price. It was perfect for our group of 5 girls, offering both privacy and a strong sense of security. The location is also ideal for hot air balloon rides and temple visits.
We were lucky to stay when the host's family was present, and their hospitality was one of the highlights of our trip. Communication in English was very smooth, and they were always ready to help with our itinerary, offering valuable advice, like tips on taking a felucca on the Nile.
Their warm hospitality made our stay truly unique and enriching, as they even took the time to show us around the village, adding a special touch to our experience.
We also faced a minor issue with our driver before heading to the airport, but the host’s family stepped in to resolve it quickly, making us feel supported the whole time. The surrounding village is very friendly, with nearby cafes and shops where we found great souvenirs at very reasonable prices.
Overall, this stay far exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend this guesthouse.

The hospitality and attention to details where over the top by hosts Karima and Ali. The atmosphere is amazing with local culture all around you. The agriculture and Mountain views are incredible!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This was my second stay at Golden Life this winter and I can only reiterate what a superb place this is! Wonderfully clean and comfortable, perfectly located on a quiet street just a two minute walk from the Nile and staffed by the loveliest people, who go to great lengths to make their guests feel welcome! I stayed for 5 weeks and loved every minute of my holiday! Many thanks to Sari, Yacoub and Matta for being such great hosts and looking forward to seeing you again next winter!
Very peaceful and quiet location. Ahmed was a great host and took care of all of our needs. The chef was excellent and we really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner which was prepared with local ingredients.
Good choice traveling on car. Good location next to the main roads to east and west coast of Luxor, city centre can be reached in 15 minutes. Gated and secure territory, personal parking place. Complex is well mantained, clean, quiet and safe, supermarket next to the gates. Many closets, hangers and places to put things. Kitchen equipment is enough for simply meal cooking. Bed is big and comfy, clean bed linen, but no sheets. Very fast and stable wifi. Host is very helpful and fast to solve any problem.
The guesthouse is located on the West Bank of Luxor where is peaceful and quiet. Ahmed and his brother were excellent hosts, they were always helpful, informative, trustful and friendly. They ran extra miles to make my stay enjoyable in Luxor. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable. They even prepared my breakfast at 6am, so I could have that on the go for my trip. I'll definitely stay in Villa Rebecca if I come back to Luxor again. Thanks Ahmed and his brother x
Great helpful staff, allowed us to check in early and leave our luggage later. Amazing rooftop where we had breakfast, lovely people around and very comfy beds! Nice atmosphere in the hostel, people interacting with each other, great location in the city centre!
The hotel is situated on the quieter part of Luxor, in the more authentic West Bank with amazing views of the Luxor Temple, which we enjoyed from the roof terrace. A chill and relaxed vibe here, and Eslam was a great host, helping us ladies feel like a local. The hotel also has their own boats that take you across the Nile to the center at normal prices, which is very convenient. We'll definitely come back! Thank you for making us feel welcome :)
Very nice staff, great location. Beautiful, charming roof top with breakfast. Cheap driver for programs. Helpful, smiling staff. Close to station. Please note: this is a hostel, basic accommodation with comfy bed, shower, air conditioning. No extra, basic things! No luxury!!!
Great location in a quiet area on the West Bank of Luxor. Mohamed is a great host, very quick to respond and gave us great tips on crossing the Nile and where to eat /drink. The accomodation is a good size for a couple and loved the addition of having a fridge and little kitchen. I recommend letting the host know what time you’re arriving and it’s all smooth sailing. Great stay!
