The location is in the countryside, with walks from the door of the hotel. The bowling alley was below our room, but very well soundproofed, so we could not hear anything in our room. There was a good sized car park, and very close to bus stop and train station.

Everything at Hotel-Restaurant Ochsen was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful (be mindful that they don't speak much English, but with the help of a translator it was no problem), the rooms and bathroom were clean, and the restaurant was excellent!

Lovely family run hotel just outside the village centre with private carpark that had lots of space. Spacious room and bathroom - all very clean and comfortable. Nice shady balcony (afternoon) with table and a couple of chairs for relaxing. We had a corner room with windows on two sides so we were able to get a breeze coming through. No lift but they did offer help with bags. Good choice of breakfast - regularly refreshed. Onsite restaurant - reasonably priced with a good selection (including for vegetarians) and great quality. Few mins walk to the town centre
and train station. Hotel provided a free pass for trains and buses that you can use throughout the Black Forest area - you can get to loads of places without having to use the car - so a great bonus. Highly recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to return

We love the homely feel of the accommodation. it was situated in a very quiet street. The train station was only 200 m away from the property which was excellent, when getting around the black forest. The owners of the property were absolutely fantastic, there was nothing that was too much trouble for them.
They went out of their way to ensure that my husband and I had a vegan breakfast every day we were there ,which was delicious.
We are planning to return there in the future.

A charming and comfortable place for visiting the Black Forest area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite spacious and had a lot of storage for clothes and gear. The breakfast was great! Meats, cheeses, fruit, bread and pastries, yogurt, also eggs and bacon cooked to order.
The house was very clean and quiet, the view magnificent and the hostess very kind. The children went crazy with the animals! The location is suitable for hiking in the forest.

The apartment is very clean, quiet and comfortable. You have everything you need to have a nice time. There are a lot of hiking routes around. It's easy to contact the host and she was very nice.

Very comfortable and spacious apartments, well equipped and lovely arranged. All kitchen utensils and cutlery one can imagine are in abundance. It's located in a quiet place and hiking trails are right round the corner. Beds are very comfortable. Internet connection is stable. Two balconies privide great views.
