The staff were great- very attentive and friendly. However, cleanliness was poor, with rust, dirt and torn bedsheets.
The hot water didn’t work well either.
On the bright side, the location was great, it’s pet-friendly (but you need to inform it on your reservation) and the breakfast was simple but good. Dinner was hit or miss - the soup was great, but the rest wasn’t as good.

I was positively surprised by the accommodation. It is located in the heart of the beautiful town. the check-in in the restaurant was friendly and I got all needed information. The room was clean and new, the location of the shower is a bit unusual but fully ok. A supermarket is just 5 minutes away. Enough sockets by the bed, all has worked properly. I can recommend this guest house.

Great place, great hosts. Everything went smoothly. We had to extend our reservation, and were able to do so. The hosts are always replying to every request and making your stay as comfortable as possible. Not to mention parking, indoor pool, sauna, washing machine, kitchen and great nature outside!
Homely feel to a great guesthouse. Lovely host, happy and welcoming. Great room with views over the surrounding fields. Happily sat tucked up with blankets star gazing with a glass of wine from the refrigerator downstairs. Breakfast wa great with a wide variety of options in a genuine mountain house.
Walti was an outstanding host with a great apartment. The apartment was well stocked and even had "first night food" for people who arrive after grocery stores close. Schonwald is a quaint little town close to some of the most beautiful scenery in the southern Schwarzwald. On top of all that, the apartment was right next to the town ponds with an "art walk" and ducks and a playground that my family loved to visit.
