Lovely studio apartment, with an inside bike store, access to laundry facilities and a fridge. Everything for a pair of bike tourers. The room was immaculate and there was a kettle plus coffee maker, so we were sorted for breakfast drinks. Super bistro 200m up the hill, open Fri - Sun. Supermarket just down the hill 500m. Location overlooking the river in the midst of vineyards is perfect.

Hotel-Restaurant Bürgerstuben, hotel in Merzig

This family-run hotel in the town of Lebach offers free Wi-Fi via hotspot as well as free parking. Traditional German cooking is served in the restaurant.

We arrived to find everything closed up but were able to call the owner who gave us easy instructions. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly but luckily the owner called me back to instruct us to go to another room which was perfect, very clean. We didn’t end up staying here and cancelled because of the restaurant issue, which was a pity as it seemed a quiet and comfortable enough hotel in a good location with, we thought, a restaurant that could provide us with a hot meal after a day of travelling! Difficult to rate this hotel as we didn’t stay!

Everything. The house is in absolute move in condition. I mean it has everything one could wish for for a short term stay. Adreas and his wife are so lovely and caring hosts. I honestly can’t think of any better service from them and the facilities of the house. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

Good choice from breakfast muesli, fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese, choice of breads. Location is in a very quiet location, but a 20 minute walk into town centre, which was no problem for us as we enjoy a walk. Good Brauhaus restaurant nearby but best to reserve as we got the last free table.
