This is a lovely, peaceful property in the heart of old Pirna. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast included. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by.
Bus and train stations 15 minutes walk away, which make access to Saxony Switzerland and Dresden so easy. Both of them are about 20 minutes by train.
Old Pirna is lovely and Pension Donatus was the perfect choice for sightseeing in the area.
By the way, the car park at the Pension (£10 a night) is so cool. You drive the car into the garage, take all your luggage out, and it disappears to a car park underground 😄
A good location for a hassle-free stay in Kurort Altenberg, Pension Hotel Sartor is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden.

Pension Hotel Srator is a quiet, comfortable, and newly refurbished small institution, with well-appointed rooms, clean bathrooms, and comfy beds. It offers very good value for money. We got a hearty breakfast with regional products and a great variety of selections. The host was kind and helpful with a personal touch with every guest. The pension is an excellent option overall.

Very nice and neat accommodation. I had a key waiting for me in the locker upon arrival and everything was communicated clearly and professionally, so there was no confusion, whatsoever.

This is not so much a pension as a self-catering apartment on a considerable scale. Largely open-plan, it has a walled off king-size-bed, a dining area and kitchen/living room along with a generous walk-in shower room. The fridge was supplied with a bottle of fizzy mineral water, a small bottle of fizzy white wine and a bottle of beer, gratis. Everything was clean, quite new and easy to use. The wi-fi was efficient. Walking from Stat Wehlen station involves a very steep, but picturesque climb up 250 steps and stiff slopes to get to the top of the Elbe valley; once up it is a pleasant couple of miles through a small town and rolling countryside.
This peacefully situated, 3-star hotel in Dresden occupies a historic villa dating back to the turn of the 20th century. Enjoy the free breakfast buffet before exploring beautiful Dresden.
