Very modern hotel, great automated check-in process. Easy to find from the highway, there's plenty of free parking on the premises. I found the bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom is well equipped, good shower.
It was strangely difficult to find out when the breakfast was starting, but at 7:00 it was going on and definitely worth getting up for. There I also met the super friendly staff.
From the hotel it's a short trip into the Harz region, or back on the highway if you use this as a stopover.

Spacious appartment, with extremely nice owners. A large soft and lush bed. A perfectly fine bathroom (Nice and clean), with a good shower. In the morning you are treated to an excellent breakfast at a table with a lovely view of the village, the breakfast is classic and extensive and quite instagramable if you're into that kind of thing. We were a bit late due to traffic and the owners were really kind about it. An absolute recommendation from us!

We could leave our baggage before checking in, the room was large, vey clean and in good shape. Location is in the center of the lovely small city.

It was the third time we stayed in the Burghotel Scharfenstein. We love the location - it's so quiet and close to a forest, so you can go for a nice walk. Rooms are cosy and very comfortable. And the food is great - both in the restaurant and the breakfast.
Breakfast was perfect...and fresh. Nice to have cold drinks available upstairs outside the room. Great location as a walk up & down the street was nice.. Room overlooked the street...which we enjoyed.
Beautiful hotel in a quiet area. Amazing breakfast and a great restaurant to eat in the evening. Great service if you travel with a dog - there was a bed ready and bowls in the room.
