This property was absolutely fantastic.
We stayed in the upper room. The windows view was great. The use of the stairs was slightly uncomfortable in the beginning but you get used to it quite fast.
Very clean, excellent shower.
The code for the room works for all entrances and there was no issues with parking.
Definitely will come back!

The owner was extremely rude and impolite. He did not meet the polite standard required by a guest. He virtually shoved me into a messed up room which has been used the night before. Disappeared within a second and i was left there thinking what should i do. I had my own towel and had to lay down my clothes on the bed to lie down. Half an hour later he comes in and tells me he put me in the wrong room. I Ordered breakfast on mentioning i am gluten and lactose free he said he would get that sorted in the morning. When i arrived for breakfast he virtually shouted he could either give my money back but, he doesnt have any to provide for me. This we could have eliminated before i climbed back down and up a spiral staircase. I am not a sour grapes person but, I am in hospitality too and i do not treat people like that, I arrived tired at 10pm from a long trip and needed to be accommodated properly. I also did not have another choice other than get a taxi again and rebook etc. at that time would have been too late. He was rude about me arriving just before 10pm and actually looked at his watch even though 10pm is cut off time.
This 3-star hotel with a hospitality tradition since 100 years offers a scenic location in the Ortenau countryside and a traditional distillery. Free WiFi is provided in some hotel rooms.

Very nice hotel, with a good restaurant. Breakfast was ok, the necessary things were there.. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, but see comments below about a sleepless night... :-(

Excellent restaurant, good breakfast, parking, room size, good bed
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Nice boutique hotel near city centre of Kehl. Hotel offers bicycle rental so within 20 minutes you can reach the center of Straatsburg. Breakfast is amazing and has outdoor terrace. Free Parking right next to hotel. Very friendly staff!
I stayed here because it was the most inexpensive available hotel in Kehl or Strasbourg (but it was not cheap). Check-in went smoothly. The room was quiet. The TV and wifi worked well. The breakfast was nice (but late – see below) with good quality coffee.
The location is excellent. Near the town centre and the tramway which takes you straight into Strasbourg city centre.
Kehl is less expensive and more quiet than Strasbourg which means you can shop locally and park for free in front of the apartment.
Great location, there was peace and quiet. 5 minutes from the city center. Big plus has a small fridge in the room. It was hot and I could cool my drinks.
The appartement was very clean, functional and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped. Internet connection was very good. David and his family are very friendly and great hosts!
My room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfy. I could make my own tea and coffee in the room, which was much appreciated in this cold weather. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They have a lovely garden and the surrounding area is calm and very scenic : you’re near the city centre, while being 2 minutes from the forest, fields and the Rhine and in particular the Rhineweg. You’re also not far from Strasbourg. Totally loved it!
