Very nice host. We arrived late and she left the key for us. Free parking is right in front of the house. The room is spacious and comfortable. Big bathroom as well. The farm produced juice and jam at breakfast are lovely.

The staff were great- very attentive and friendly. However, cleanliness was poor, with rust, dirt and torn bedsheets.
The hot water didn’t work well either.
On the bright side, the location was great, it’s pet-friendly (but you need to inform it on your reservation) and the breakfast was simple but good. Dinner was hit or miss - the soup was great, but the rest wasn’t as good.

The breakfast was so tasty, there was plenty of food and coffee. The quality was superb! It was a quiet place so we could rest and sleep without disturbance. The hosts were very nice, helpful and welcoming.
We are 2 long distance cyclists riding from the UK to Italy and the Gasthof Rose was exactly on our route in the centre of the delightful town of Hornberg just around the corner from the marketplace. It is a very comfortable traditional hotel run by a very charming lady. Good restaurant and an excellent breakfast. Very quiet. Very good secure bike storage in the hotel's garage. Very comfortable.
This was a fantastic place to stay, great location and friendly host. The apartment was very spacious and clean with great facilities for 4 adults. We enjoyed being able to sit outside for a meal also. Sadly we only had a 1 night stay in Hornberg. Plenty to do there and in surrounding areas. Easy to find and the host met us for check in, also the free parking space in the garage below was great.
For once, everything you could wish for in one place: old world charm and atmosphere, combined with every modern convenience like power shower and charging sockets by the beds. And the food - out of this world. The chef is a genius! Ideal central location in charming and quiet bypassed village where dining outside was delightful. The owners are so helpful and friendly you hate to leave.
This bed and breakfast is located in a beautiful valley with easy access to the wonders of the Schwarzwald, including the Open Air Museum at Gutach & interesting Schiltach town. The room was very clean, the balcony overlooked a wonderful view, the breakfast was plentiful and the host was so friendly and a wonderful person. We loved our stay and hope to return for a longer stay. Thank you for a marvellous stay.
