Clean friendly guest house near center and bus stop, equipped with furniture typical for the area (albeit not new).
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Alphotel Ettal offers a charming and cozy retreat in a beautiful alpine setting, We stayed in a ground floor room, which was convenient as we were traveling with a dog. The view was still great, and we had direct access to the hotel's backyard.
The food was good, with generous portions.
Generally, there is enough parking, but during winter peak season, it might become an issue. Despite these minor inconveniences, our stay was enjoyable.
Everything in the hotel is extremely clean. Sauna area is recently renovated. Great breakfast, kind and caring staff. The area is quiet. Recommended for a long stay.
The hotel experience is excellent. The reception at the reception was very pleasant and professional (Irina was very nice), the room is quiet and everything is comfortable, clean, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is very attentive.
Great location, amazing rooms, great staff and awesome breakfast and restaurant , great for families and all attractions of the German alps are nearby,
Very comfy guest house with an antique theme. The building style and decoration is very resemblant of 19th century architecture. It is located at an excellent location among the mountains and has an excellent view from the balcony rooms. Rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast room was very rustic and the breakfast itself was very appetizing and fresh. There are certain open fields nearby which offer a clear view of the mountains. Visit here for the fresh air, view and quiet village atmosphere.
We stayed at Ethiko guesthouse. We had a balcony at the back of the property which overlooked fields and mountains. It was very quiet! Breakfast was very good!
