Although we had some trouble finding the Waldhaus Lahnstein due to the village changing the one way system (car satnav had us going round in circles as it tried to take us the wrong way down one way streets!), once there everything was brilliant. We had a large upstairs room in one of the houses dotted around the grounds - plenty of space, comfortable beds and an en-suite shower room. We had dinner in the restaurant, which seemed to be very popular with the locals (always a good sign). German meals can be large, so we took advantage of the senior portion (!), which was plenty large enough 😊. Breakfast was a wonderful spread with lots of choice.
Neubert’s Gasthaus am Rhein is located in Lahnstein, just steps from the River Rhine and Lahnstein Train Station. It offers simple rooms and a continental breakfast buffet every morning.

A pleasant and friendly guesthouse in an attractive small town, well placed for walks along an attractive part of the River Rhine. The breakfasts were good.
Offering mountain views, Pension Historisches Wirtshaus an der Lahn is an accommodation set in Lahnstein, 6.7 km from Electoral Palace, Koblenz and 6.9 km from Koblenz Theatre.
The family-run Landhaus Traube is located directly on the banks of the River Moselle in Niederfell, a 20-minute drive from Koblenz. It has a pretty vine-covered terrace with castle views.

The personal touch from the owner, who made breakfast and eggs in the morning, was delightful. He is a very kind-hearted man, and the area next to the Moselle River is beautiful.

A classic family run German hotel, with easy and warm approach to hospitality. The restaurant in the hotel offers a fine German menu, with much more than just schnitzel. Wine is served form the own winery. The breakfast is fabulous with a wide selection of small pre made salads, fish, meats, pie's etc. well above what you get in many 5 start hotels.
If you drive there, do take the route via the Rhine, it is a breathtakingly beautiful. We were on a long drive home from Austria to the Netherlands and were very glad we chose to add this night to our holiday.

We really enjoyed this apartment stay. Everything was in pristine condition and beautifully decorated in a country style. The views from the balcony were amazing. The free transport ticket provided made getting out and about really enjoyable. It was a perfect place to stay!

What a wonderful place to stay. Lovely apartment in a great location with stunning views overlooking the Rhine. Easy access to train station, ferries and river boats. Raphael is a great host willing to answer questions and be helpful. His Pizzeria below is a classy place serving great food yet isn't intrusive and once in the aparment you wouldn't know it is there. Accommodation is very spacious and clean with everything you would require for a stay. Can't think of any negatives and so can highly recommend.
What an amazing apartment. Very modern, spotlessly clean, huge, comfortable beds, modern kitchen and bathrooms. Great location just minutes walking distance from the river front, from the station and from the town centre. Lovely breakfast for 12 euro. The host was really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Free guest card giving free train and bus travel in VRM area, free entrance to the museum and discounts on KD boats and the Sesssel Chair lift. We had the most wonderful time.

Modern, spacious and clean apartment, well equipped kitchen and bathroom; located in a quiet living area on the hill, convenient to city center or supermarkets by car in 10 mins, will book it again if i want to visit the area in the future
Great location, excellent facilities and very helpful host. The Rhine Valley can be busy but the Rhein Suites are in a relatively quiet part of Boppard, which is itself in a very beautiful area with lots to do. Highly recommended as a spacious and cheaper alternative to the town’s hotels.
Walkable distance into town, self contained room with own terrace and parking space. Honesty fridge in garage to have a cool beer or bottle of wine. Friendly host and adequate breakfast for a small pension.
Situated up the hill 5 minutes from Boppard. Very quiet and with lovely garden and patio area each room can use. Room was recently renovated and is spotless with very nice fourniture. Bed is super confortable. Very quiet to sleep, no city or train noise. Host is very nice and welcoming.
