All good - used this hotel whilst visiting for euro 24. Basic but functional room but all fine - room quite big. 10 min walk to a really good local pub. About 15 min walk into main centre and half an hour to train station. Communications with owner to confirm arrival time etc were easy and very good.

cozy nice room with balcony. Have kettle with a package of coffee. Easy to reach with train to Essen-Borbeck station from Essen central station. Supermarkets nearby. Quiet location. Self check-in easy, was also possible to reach owner by phone.

Everything was nice and clean, beds were comfy, pillows - flat enough to not cause neck pain. Cheapest room is spacious enough to feel cozy. Location of the hotel is also quite nice - city center is 5 minutes away (just 2 stops on the tram). Despite being next to the big road room was very quiet, sound isolation is top notch!
The hostess was incredibly friendly and helpful! She did everything she could to make my 3 am check-in as smooth and quiet as possible.. I don't speak German, and she kindly helped me call a taxi, making the whole process smooth. The kitchen was great, and the place felt very cozy.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay!
Room was very clean, modern, comfortable and quiet. Lots of tv channels available. Breakfast that was included had a good selection of items from which to choose, including eggs, yogurt, pancakes, fresh fruit, baked goods, cheese, meat. Loved the little bags provided so that we could take something to go as well. Easy to get to the hotel from the train station by walking.
Tim’s place was very nice, cozy, and clean. It was well-decorated, me and my family felt like home. It was located on a very cute street in which parking wasn’t a problem. Tim was a great host, responding to our questions in a short time. He made recommendations regarding nearby restaurants. We would definitely recommend his place.
Great place for those who like very modern homes with the latest technology. Renovated and completely up to date property. Roomy and quiet, very nice neighborhood. Kitchen well-equipped. Comfortable beds. Helpful and responsive host.
