Alpengasthof Götschenalm is a family-run outfit located on the outskirts of Bischofswiesen. It's close to all the sites: Berchtesgaden, Königssee Lake, and the salt works in Bad Reichenhall. There are also easy and more difficult trails for hikers in the area. The Gasthof itself is comfortable, clean, provides a good breakfast spread, and offers decent hot meals in the evening (a la carte). The lower floor is fully wheelchair accessible. Parking is free. It's a typical Alpine Gasthof, especially good for families with children. We visited in the summer. In the skiing season, the lift up the slopes is right next door.

Such a beautiful place! The room was perfect, we had everything we needed from cozy beds to a functional kitchen. I especially enjoyed watching the horses and chickens in the mornings. We couldn’t have asked for a better place our first time in Germany.

This is a very clean and well-maintained traditional guest house. A warm welcome from the hosts. The breakfasts were excellent. The location is peaceful and picturesque, and a good base for touring the area. Highly recommended!
Lovely room with a beautiful view. The decor was charming and the bed very comfortable. Very quiet and comfortable. A little far from the town centre but easily walkable and there were numerous buses travelling past the accommodation.

The location was fantastic. In the hills and quiet. The apartment was great and the host was really helpful and friendly. We only stayed the night, but it was well worth it. Will happily recommend and stay here again.
Quiet getaway with breathtaking views. the property is in a lovely plot of land. 15 min drive from city centre. breakfast offered a variety of meats/cheeses, hosts didnt speak much english but were lovely people, very accomodating when we asked for crib and early check in, wifi worked well
