The room was clean and cozy. I also liked it was pretty quiet at night. Although there is no place to cook, the restaurant is just by the property which is extremely convenient. The meal was really delicious however the portion was too big for me. I think it is a plus for other people.

It is a very curious experience to stay in a water tower! Super! Next to the building there is a swimming pool which is free with the room (closes at 9pm). The breakfast was less attractive than in other places, but certainly sufficient. You can choose from a list of fried / scrumbled eggs, toast with jam, etc. The bathroom was fine.
Penzion DMZ offers good transportation links to reach the centre of Ostrava, 3 km away, just 50 metres from Mariánské Náměstí Tram Stop. It offers functional rooms with free WiFi.

friendly staff. Very clean. Varied and tasty breakfast. Separate parking lot close to hotel for low price. We arrived after check-in deadline but the receptionist was waiting for us. Recommend!!!

This is a perfect place for an overnight stay in-transit. Everything you need is in place. Bathroom with shower, beds with bedside table/lamp, a desk/table, tiny kitchenette with fridge, TVset. All stuff is in a very good condition (I mean nothing is damaged, old, or used) and the place is very clean. We were met by a very nice young employee. There is a private parking and there was no problem to find a spot (it was low season though), easy to manoeuver, safe and easy to get out or into the property. All rooms are on 1st floor i.e. above the ground floor. It was quiet when we stayed there. It was a very good option for us to make our shopping in Ostrava and continue our journey.

The location of stay was perfect. Piece and quiet surroundings.Plus the staff was more than willing and kind .Nothing was a problem for them and meal served in adjacent restaurant was absolute delight.
Plus, parking spots for guests were just by the main door.
Overall, I must say that we liked the stay.
The place itself was very atmospheric. As we came, there was noone to meet us, it was in the evening but already dark, no noises, so it felt really like in a castle. We spent some time just looking at the smallest details of the old furniture and portraits in the common area. Calm and quiet, warm and nice, no people at all, no staff – it's just you and the castle.
