Loved the lodge, I arrived here after doing the popular coastal hike, it was the perfect place to relax and spend the night in. My room was lovely, food was great, very fresh and different from what you get on the island (owners are French). Just a note, the couple running the place are selling it, let's hope whoever gets it will keep running as well as they are.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Our stay in Kasa d'Vizin was above our expectations. Beautiful, comfortable, clean studio in a new guesthouse. The hosts and the ladies preparing and serving the food were absolutely nice and helpful. We were allowed to check in earlier on arrival and check out later on the day of departure. Stunning view over the Paúl valley from the rooftop terrace. Hike from Cova crater down to the guesthouse is a must despite the muscle pain and sore toes on the following day :) Definitely recommended!
Amazing experience! You feel right at home in the very heart of the amazing Vale do Paúl!! Kate is a great host: speaks all languages possible (😀), has all the guests dinner together and has a thorough knowledge of the entire island, giving great tips for hikes and restaurants! Staff was extremely friendly as well! The walk up the hill to get to Casa is quite steep but it’s like you feel rewarded once you get into this little paradise at the end of it!! I will be back for sure!
extremely high value for money. super nice and helpful host, great location with stunning views, comfortable beds and nice rooms. The shower is working properly, good pressure and instant hot water. High security. Rooms are well decorated.
Liana is a great host. Her cooking is amazing and the staff and herself are helpful and give you tip for hikes and more. Breakfast is also good. I definetly recommend it's a great experience.

Everything! Vito, the host, is a wonderful person. We had to leave early in the morning and so he prepared breakfast to take away. The best breakfast I had.. he even made polenta! :) If you have the time, it is wonderful to just sit in the kitchen and have a cup of tea while you talk with Vito.
The place is super well situated, in a quiet street and a 4min walking distance from shops and restaurants/cafes. We slept with a view of the mountain..simply beautiful. I would definitely choose this place to stay!
'Oasis' was literary an Oasis in San Antao. The hotel lies in the middle of the town Paul, but has a nice garden which gives you peace and quiet. The host Marco is lovely! He speaks fluently English and helps you with anything you need; trails for hiking, arranging transport or reccomending restaurants.
The rooms are very neat and have everything you need. The big balcony overlooking the garden have nice seats where you can relax! The breakfast is nice and abbondant.
The price quality is just exceptional. We would 100% reccomend!
The guesthouse is in a beautiful location, looking out over the Paul Valley. Belen and Jose were great hosts, and provided loads of information on where to hike, including hikes we could do from the guesthouse.
Something different was made for breakfast every morning and it was always really good - it was also a really big breakfast, which was perfect ahead of a day hiking! Dinner was great too, we always looked forward to it at the end of the day!
The room was clean, the shower was hot and the views were amazing - highly recommended!
