Very tranquil location with a rich history. Near enough to the airport but remote enough to enjoy birds and nice views. The room was huge with beautiful high ceilings and I loved the old wood shutters . The dogs were friendly and really did bother us at all . We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the Mot mots in the trees. Very friendly hosts .

A beautiful hostel, feels more like a boutique hotel. Or a home away from home. Everything is so pretty and sparkling clean. Delicious breakfast. Great location. And the host and staff are absolutely lovely, they really look after you. Could not recommend this place more.

We rented a two-bedroom suite with kitchen facilities and we were very happy with our choice. The rooms were all spacious, clean, up-to-date and comfortable. They were also quiet. The reception staff and maids were friendly and welcoming and happy to accommodate our requests. La Sabana is in a great location, about 20 minutes outside the city centre in a quiet area of town with a park nearby. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
Location very good, very close to tourist attractions in city center. Room was big, relatively quiet (you could hear traffic, but that is pretty normal in city center). Staff spoke good English. Breakfast was good, a lot of fresh fruit.
Loved our stay here! Clean, spacious, bright outdoor spaces, quiet and in a lovely neighbourhood with tons of restaurants close by and about a 20-30 min walk from the downtown core. Views from the room were quite nice too!
Breakfast was cereal, milk, fresh fruit, and bagged portions of sliced white bread (2 slices per person) and jam.
Staff was very friendly and kind. And there's a hostel squirrel in one of the trees who is super cute!
I was looking for a quiet few last days before flying home and this hostel was the perfect vibe for that! Super comfy and quiet private room, great location in a safe neighborhood to walk around and explore, good food options nearby… the kitchen is also well stocked with appliances and utensils, and there’s a beautiful patio to relax / hang out.
Very spacious and comfortable private rooms and good common spaces; very clean; superb host and staff with outstanding service (coffee, laundry, cleaning, availability 24/7, good communication). Great location close to all needed amenities and parks in quiet and safe neighbourhood.
Very friendly hostess always ready to help. I liked the breakfast (it is included in the stay). Excellent value for money. I liked the neighborhood: it is generally safe and quiet, unlike the city center. Walking distance to bakery and grocery stores. There is a bus stop very close to the place (buses go to the city center). I definitely will stay at the Casa Kitus next time.
Location was great, right in the center of San Jose. Patrick was a great host and very helpful with questions and parking. Quiet and comfortable room with ceiling fan to keep us cool.
