It’s a farm, you stay in a separate house that is very spacious. It has 1 large bathroom, bedroom with double bed and baby bed and a spacious kitchen with a coach and 2 double bed.
We did not cook but eated at the farm for two diners and two breakfasts. We have also taken a farm tour with two and it all costed around 280 dollars.
It felt liked we where home at Costa Rica with Allen, the owner.

A beautiful place to stay. The hosts are artists and very knowleadgable about the area so their advice on things like where to go/bus times etc was really useful. As a solo female traveller this place was ideal and I felt very safe and comfortable here.

Great location. We traveled without a car and we had everything accessible on foot (although we walked a lot). There is a wonderful viewpoint just 3 min walk.
The lodge itself is very charming but obviously its best years have already passed. It's waiting for a major renovation and a deep cleaning once in a while would be great. But overall it's a great value for the money we paid. It was very cheap considering it's located in an otherwise overpriced area.
Our family room was large with windows facing the forest. But for some reason it didn't match photos on booking.com. I am not complaining, we liked the room. But it should be fixed
A monkey came to visit every day and our kids loved their dog Lucy.

We loved the location high on the mountain with amazing views. It was fantastic for star gazing, too, as you could see the whole of Milky Way - never in my life have I seen so many stars. The food was delicious, and Ana and her family were great hosts. The place is so beautiful and quiet - I highly recommend!

Sergio was a great host! He is very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations for the area. The room was nice and clean. He serves a buffet breakfast (fresh fruits, cheese, ham, toast, muesli etc) and also prepares fresh eggs. We had a great stay!
It has a wonderful garden and the apartment is very cosy. Nuri, Albert and Alessandro have been lovely hosts.
If you want you can also order a breakfast. Which was delicious.

The hostel is run by a a charming and friendly family including Katrina the dog, Great breakfast and great location - minutes from the centre of Monteverde but also just outside the centre, meaning it was quiet. Great value for money and one of the best places we stayed on our trip. The breakfast pancakes are recommended too.
