First of all - I will give this place a ten although it’s far away from it, but… The place is located in the sketchy neighborhood and we weren’t really feeling safe to leave the place at night. Rooms look like they are advertised and are clean. The absolute highlight of the place is the lady who owns it - she is a soul! She was very helpful, kind and gave us all the information she needed. She also made us feel like home. Since we visited city for the carnival she allowed us to store the baggage there after check out too. Overall, I wouldn’t pay the amount of money for this accommodation under any other circumstances but these including the festival and increase of prices in that area in general. Like I said - you would be feeling more than welcome and safe inside of the property, but not outside of it. Thanks again to the lovely lady, she made our stay there worth of it!

Rafael is an excellent host, very attentive to making your stay as comfortable as possible. I started with one night but spent a week because it's so good: great location, comfortable rooms with fridge, aircon, tv. Close to restaurants, shops, a nice safe residental area close to lots of amenities. It's a great place, highly recommend!
Great host. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Towels were very soft. Host was amazing. Met us at the property and was very friendly, giving us lots of information about the area. Very responsive on WhatApp. Also allowed my husband to stay beyond the check out time to finish work and use the WiFi. Had an Amazon Firestick so access to lots of TV channels.

is nothing even like the photos, super dangerous area, the uber driver said to us just to jump to the car and get away as soon as possible.
The pictures are mot even from this hotel… This simply looks like a very cheap hostal. We left as soon as we arrived. The second hotel that they owned is also really bad. I have reported both of them to Booking.com
Wonderful hotel. Newly renovated. Everything is exceptionally clean. Staff are friendly, they seem genuinely happy to work here). AC worked very well. Don't miss the breakfast. Simple and delicious. The location is close to restaurants and services, and taxis are plentiful and cheap. Highly recommend this charming hotel.
A great small guesthouse near to the centre. The staff and attention were truly wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are small and simple with private bathroom and AC. The place is spotlessly clean and quiet and La Casona has a laundry service too for the price of the soap powder. I had a great time for less than staying at a hostal - and much nicer.
