Location in the city center was amazing, lots of amenities included in the room, breakfast is buffet and a mix continental-asian that works. Staff was very kind but not english speakers, you can comunicate with them with google translate and they help with taxis and day trips arround (price was fair and much cheaper than booking it in any websites)
Great location, all major attractions in walking distance. Grottoes 20 minute taxi ride away. Staff extremely welcoming and spoke good English. Rooms clean and beds very comfortable. Great stay!

The hotel is right in the center, but it's quiet. We had a huge bed for 3 people, enough room for everybody.
The staff didn't speak any english, but used online translator and had prepared a proposal for tour for the next day with all needed info in english so it was easy and fast to decide what to do
Peaceful and quiet, the owners were lovely, and you could tell they kept pride in their place.
The meals were great especially the noodles. Enjoyed breakfast which was a mix of sweet potatoes, vegetables, dumplings, sausage.
The area had plenty of food around it and a short walk to the wall and ancient drum.
Found out by guide the whole town is a replica made a decade ago, even the wall.
Charming historical building within the city centre, extremely kind staff who upgraded my room for free, helped me to bring my suitcases to the nearest taxi, found a local guide book in a book store for me and gave good advice on local restaurants. Very good level of English spoken, I highly recommend this hostel!
Perfect for a weekend trip to Datong. Centrally located in the old city centre. Great service and staff. Spotless clean. Nice room with window. Good breakfast and coffee. Nice and soft bed clothes. Very quiet, no noise at all as there are no vehicles allowed. No problems at all.
