Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A wonderful hostel with amazing views across the bay. Very friendly and attentive Chilean hosts. Great breakfast included and home cooking evening meal if you opt to eat at the hostel.
It's one of the best Hosterias i've been so far, if not the best. The owner is a very warm and friendly person. The breakfast is just marvellous. You'll get very good coffee and a lot more. The food in the evening is also very tasty.
A must book!
Esteban's cabin on the beach is a perfect, quiet beach getaway. We stayed for four nights and the cabin has all the things you need to cook, relax, and soak up the laid back beach vibes. For food, we had a car and stopped in Osorno at Supermercado Lider to stock up before we got there. There are also mini-markets in the village. Esteban was very responsive if we had any questions. In the area, we drove down to the village and beach at Maicolpué - it's beautiful.
I'm so glad I found this slice of Chilean beach bliss :)
We stayed 1 night in January - as one of around 15 hotels around Latin America in similar price bracket. Making the trip to Bahia Mansa was well worth the effort. This Casa has a lovely terrace overlooking the bay - absolutely perfect for sitting out for an outstanding home cooked meal from a choice of fresh fish dishes and a good wine. The hosts are lovely and so friendly, creating a very social ambience. If you are a film star this may not be your cup of tea ... rooms are cosy in size. Suited us perfectly.
We loved being right on the pretty and quiet little beach with beautiful sunset views over the bay in the evenings! The cabin was comfortable, clean and well equipped for all our needs with a wood burning stove which we lit on chilly mornings. Esteban communicated very well and was very helpful. Bahia Mansa is a tiny fishing village with a jumble of food outlets, including excellent fish and chips at the pier. Playa Tril Trïl, about 20 minutes' drive away is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen
Esteban, the owner, is the best host you can imagine. He is willing to help you with all your questions. We are very thankful to meet him and to stay in his cabaña. Everything you need is there.
