This was a needed stoping point on the way to Germany. It was a bit more basic than we’d expected but everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the linen and facilities were fine and the food (dinner and breakfast) was very good. The staff were helpful and made sure our needs were met. And it was a relief from the usual tourist places!

Location is perfect for start of cycling the Rhine. Train station is seconds away. Friendly welcoming staff who provided a good meal in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Had a secure bicycle park underneath the building which was great for us. Spectacular views and sound of cowbells was lovely. Great place to start or return from a hike.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The place is really remote, you won't see anyone else. It is quiet and properly dark at night. The old wood stove works great for heating and even cooking if you like.
For touring the Greina highlands this place is a must! The host was super friendly and allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel, as well as our car parked there, as we stayed another night after we came back. We also recieved useful information about our hike. Service was excellent, and we felt very welcome. We would love to return someday.
