It was fine for us, but you'll definitely need a car to explore Vancouver, it took 20 to 30 minutes to most of the popular downtown neighborhoods, also depends on time & traffic. Very nice clean house, quiet neighborhood, close to subway station, only 7-10 minutes walk, easy to get to downtown and to airport.

Great location - quiet, safe neighbourhood, 20 mins walk to the beach, close to the bus stop and close to supermarket and other shops. Check in instructions were clear and easy and provided well in advance. Property was kept very clean. Host responded quickly to messages. Room was comfortable and as shown in the photos. Great facilities. I would stay here again :)

A great location near the airport and also a short and easy bus trip into the centre of town. Chris was a great host and accommodated our very late arrival. A lovely quiet neighbourhood.
The hostel has cheaper prices than anything else in the area. The location is really amazing in the heart of downtown and right next to Waterfront train station so if you're looking to save some money and explore the city it is a perfect place to stay at. Also, it is surprisingly quiet. I was expecting to hear all the loud music from the pub but we never had any issue with that! Service was also great, all the staff at the desk was always polite with us.

Good location, cheap stay in Vancouver. The beds were comfy and having rooms of four people allowed for a more quiet night than at other hostels with larger rooms.
West End guest house is a charming guest house in a great location - quiet but also close to the tourist attractions. The staff are lovely and attentive and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces provided on the verandas. There is access for guests to a small kitchen with hot and cold drinks available at all times. Breakfast is provided in a lovely dining room. The homemade muffins were fantastic, but I'm afraid that we were a little underwhelmed by the cooked breakfast.
