Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The quietness overall, but also the sound of the ocean; the cosy room and the little things / decoration. And of course the hosts with their warm welcome.
The details on everything were exquisite. We could tell this place was built with love. The location was a short walk to the beach and super quiet, and the host was very friendly.
We liked the location, half way between Powell River and Lund and off the highway. It was quiet, well treed, with a nice view of the Salish Sea and Vancouver Island. The hosts were helpful (we needed help to figure out the shower tap) without being intrusive.
The location is incredible with fantastic views and a lovely balcony to sit on to get the sunshine and admire the surroundings. William and Gloria were excellent hosts who were very responsive and charming. It is a short walk to the ocean and a pebbly beach .
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The stay is fantastic. The room is clean and with all the supplies. The private beech is awesome. I slept so well here as the night is unbelievable quiet, the woods block all the noise. We enjoyed the every moment when we were there.
Location, decor, views, quiet, well-equipped kitchen.
I always stay at Beyond Bliss, it is a fully furnished unit, not a motel room. You do need to carry your gear up the stairs so not suitable for folks with mobility challenges. Love the deck and the sunsets, located on the main street you have restaurants, coffee shops and lovely boutique shops to visit without using your car.
