great location very close to the beach, bright and sunny apartment, near supermarkets, bakery, restaurants, shopping, transportation, etc. Guara was a great host, showing great attention to my needs, and making sure all my questions were answered. Excellent wifi, clean, and with a full kitchen. The bathroom had good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Very nice host/family who supports with everything. Location is great, just a 10 minutes walk to the beach. Supermarket, Restaurants and the Shopping Center just around the corner. A/C works great, bed is comfortable and it is very quiet at night.
Lovely colonial building with great vibes and a lot of communal space. Many travelers stay there, there’s a lot of people to share time with, and also a great living room with tables and power outlets in case you also need to get some work done.
Rooms on the right are noisy at night because there’s a loud karaoke nearby. But the hostel is quiet at night.
Weekend samba was a plus.
It was a pretty clean and organized place, with good communal space, but no atmosphere whatsoever. For me it made sense because I had an appointment around the corner, but as a backpacker, I was much happier when I moved downtown, where hostels had no pool but a lot of charm (and also were cheaper)
The staff was super nice and friendly. And the hostel is beautiful! A very calm space that is both private and quiet but still is close to all you need like the supermarket, beaches, restaurants and more.
It was very surprised how nice and clean was the place. Maria is a very nice hostess and make you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Maria’s guest house. The best ever!
