Wow, what an amazing pousada. We were blown away above all by the incredible location which was absolutely idyllic: you can literally hear the waves crashing on the beach from your room!!
The room was very well-appointed with a super comfy bed, mini fridge (important for beach side beers!) and a really nice shower.
The fact that staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to organise a day out snorkeling and seeing nearby beaches was another huge plus. They even went as far as to give us a ride in their boat back to Angra dos Reis for a really reasonable price!
10/10 would recommend.
P.s. Did I mention the beautiful sunset which you won't get from the other side of the island in busy Abraão? So romantic.

Everything! Naty was an incredible host. The location is perfect, the facilities (SUPs and Snorkel kits) were excellent and the staff, brilliant.

I have loved the place. It is away from the village, a cute walk through the jungle to get there and we are surrounded by trees and birds singing. The bedroom was nicely decorated and was confortable. The hosts Indio and Agustina are very nice and help in any way they can ! I would recommend this place !

Great location- walking distance to the beach. Lovely breakfast- with lots of fresh fruit. Comfortable beds. Small but sweet swimming pool- perfect for a post beach dip. They serve tea at 5.30pm- which is nice. Kind and friendly staff- they were so helpful when I got food poisoning (not from the hotel).
We liked it so much that we ended up extending our stay there!

We had an amazing stay at Ponta da Barca. The location is incredible, right on the beach, such thoughtful and attentive hosts and amazing food in the restaurant. Breakfast was also delicious, which we ate in a room overlooking the bay. Huge room with a comfortable bed,
cleaned every day to a high standard. Lots of recommendations provided about things to in the area.
Wonderful location directly on the sand. Nice restaurant at the pousada and the option to eat at a few other sites in the beach. Breakfast was filling. We loved the quiet of the place, friendly staff. We went diving directly from the beach and were also able to swim with several turtles and Octapus just in front if the poussada. Nice aircon
Very enjoyable stay. Great location, it was so relaxing beside the beach. Owners and staff were very helpful. We enjoyed a number of dives when we were there.
Karien, Riaan and their don Daniel were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The location of the property is breathtaking and the rooms were large and clean with amazing views over the coved beach. We really enjoyed the fresh fruit at breakfast every morning. It's a beautiful part of the island and we felt we were living in a postcard photo for 3 days.

When booking, we did not yet know how to get to the hotel. But they contacted us, told us everything in detail, and accompanied us until our arrival. The hosts are a real treasure. Polite, attentive, friendly. Help in any matter.

We really enjoyed our stay. Isabella and team made us feel very welcome. The breakfast on their beautiful terrace is amazing and watching the monkeys, coati and porcupine come by made it very special. It’s in a quiet area of the island which lots of hikes around. We really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.
