Beautiful room and guest house gardens. The room was immaculate and the gardens were lovely to relax in. The area is quiet and relaxing. You can make tea and coffee in the reception and there is lots of seating outside to enjoy. You can park your car for free on the road outside. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

This is a perfect place if you want to explore Koprivshtitsa - great location and a wonderful hostess in Sonia who endured our mangled Bulgarian and was just super-friendly throughout the time we were there. Most people probably only visit Koprivshtitsa for the day - but it's worth staying over for a couple of nights to soak up the atmosphere properly - and Guest House Maria is the perfect place to stay if you take that option.
The room was spacious and in traditional Bulgarian Revival style; the beds were comfortable and the living space generous. The curtain and blinds block the light very well at night and the area is quiet. The views are pleasant and the garden is lovely. The guesthouse is very close to a shop and a 5 minute walk from the main square. Parking is available on the side of the house. The hostess communicated with us in French.
