Great stay in this small town - feels like a gem! We were 'upgraded' to stay in the actual hotel vs the guesthouse down the street. We enjoyed being in the building with the restaurant - which we also ate at and loved!

We got an upgrade on arrival in the main mansion so probably not rating the right room here but wow was it amazing. Lots of cachet! The details in the decoration! The bed was incredibly confortable, the bathroom was gigantic, the coffee delicious, perfect location, nice lady at the reception. We were happy it rained one day just to stay in all cosy!

Katrien and her husband told us much about Ypres and its history, which is why we were there. They prepared a delicious breakfast for us. They reserved bicycles for us for the day. Breakfast was brilliant. The outlook from our room over the lake was delightful. There was a very nice pathway around the lake to enjoy the pleasure of walking and enjoying the wildlife and wild spring flowers.
