Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location in a quieter part of Townsville, yet very close to the strand and Palmer Street (only a few minutes drive). Our apartment had stunning views of the water and a very spacious balcony. It was the perfect size for a family of three. We will definitely be staying here again! Love the bonus of a cafe downstairs for a nice coffee in the morning. The best part was the value for money. It was one of the cheapest accommodation we could find in Townsville that offered two bedrooms
We've stayed here a number of times now and will continue to do so. Steve is an excellent host and is very responsive to questions etc. He is a pleasure to liaise with as the point of contact. The apartment building is in a great location as is a short walk to both the centre of town, south Townsville's restaurant precinct and The Strand. If you're there for the footy, it's also within easy walking distance to the stadium. It is a quiet apartment block and has everything we need for short term stays.
Great location, 200m from the strand lots of bars and restaurants near by. Short distance from city centre and 10 mins from the airport. We arrived in the morning and were able to get an early check in which was great host/manger was very friendly and helpful. Good size apartment 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms
I have stayed a couple of times before. It is always clean and quiet. John Donovan is a great host. It is so close to the city centre: Woolworths; the Perc Tucker Gallery; the Mary Who Bookshop and more.
Eva and Russell are very welcoming and work hard to be great hosts. The house is a very nice old Queenslander adapted to a Bed and Breakfast about 15 years ago. The breakfast was also very good, especially Russell’s fruit platter.
