We are a group of 4 (two couples)and we absolutely loved staying at Hill Top Country Guesthouse. The location in the middle of Hunter Valley is amazing and there are so many activities to do around. The views are great. The guest house had an old fashioned style, but was very clean.
Margaret is a kind hard-working woman who has been very hospitable to us. We would definitely stay here again.

starting off the morning with a fresh loaf of homemade bread and having it with avocado and jam was a special touch. it is a quiet serene location that offers solitude and the pleasure of being able to just walk the vineyards and surrounding area or just sit quietly and enjoy a book. It is run by Connie who was delightful and provided us a wine tasting as well from her family's winery which is run by her father Phil.

this place is very special. Calm and quiet and relaxing. In winter we had the wood fire going and it was just awesome. Hosts were super nice and had a little breakfast supplies set up when we arrived.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
So incredibly quiet and yet a great breakfast and coffee were only five minutes away. We could've cooked our own at home as hosts left more than enough eggs, bacon, bread and assorted cereals for a fabulous breakfast, but we hit the road early to beat the weekend crowds to the nearby wineries. Lovedale cottages are centrally located for a weekend. Will stay again.
Tranquil location, away from the hubbub but close enough to popular places. Great host recommendations and little touches from the fireplace, comfy bed and secluded reading spot behind a box hedge.
Great location and facilities. Rooms were large , with each having their own in suite. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly & brought a clothes line for us when requested, and fixed the main bedroom light immediately when I advised it wasn't working. They also provided (without us asking) games for the kids to play during the rainy weather.
The house is well equipped and in a great location. Wonderful for a family get together or a group of friends and very kid friendly. Big spaces indoors and outdoors and the air conditioning and outdoor fans really helped on the hotter days.
The wine tasting at Elbourne Wines cellar door was exception and Adam was a great host.
Guest house is great, very spacious and versatile. Great location, very peaceful with stunning outlook from veranda. Excellent access to nearby attractions. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Away from hustle & bustle. Very quiet location.
But still not far to drive to local attractions & activities.
Host live on site when you need anything but otherwise give you privacy to enjoy your relax stay.
The owners were a great host. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
