Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great host (Gary). Made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation was quirky and interesting and so much more enjoyable than a sterile hotel. Location great for exploring Josephine Falls, nearby beaches and Babinda Boulders.
Quaint and very tastefully appointed. The building is fascinating and every square inch has character. Garry was a superb host, full of information about the area. I'm so happy we booked this place.
The nurses quarters have been restored, furnished and decorated in a very thoughtful and artistic manner and were very comfortable. Garry was a great host and we enjoyed Babinda township, the Boulders and other natural sites in the area.
Absolutely a hidden gem, Gary the host was amazing, the building was a testament to local history and beautifully presented, more of a boutique hotel than a guest house. The team at the Boulders Tavern made my partner and I so welcome, including us in the local trivia night and leaving us with a profound sense of community that exists in the area. Will definitely be back.
Excepcional guesthouse located in the quiet town of Babinda. Located in a historical building, it provides cosy renovated rooms, each of them individually decorated with a lot of taste by the owner.
Our room was very comfortable and had many interesting artistic touches.
There is a beautiful communal living space with seats, a grand piano, other instruments and plenty of books and games.
The surrounding gardens are pleasant to chill and enjoy the sunny days!
The Quarters is a totally unique and historic building that has been beautifully restored into a charming guesthouse in the gorgeous little town of Babinda. Loved the artistic flair in the design and decoration of the rooms. Gary the manager was a font of useful information about the town and district, with a keen interest in this wonderful old building.
Beautifully unique. Loved the character and antique furnishings.
Exceptionally clean for the age of the building and very welcoming.
The host Gary was so friendly and obliging.
Pretty tropical garden view from my room with everything I needed.
Great location just off the highway with no traffic noise and east walking to the township Very close to Babinda Boulders also a bonus.
Would recommend for those who enjoy lodge style stays and would stay again.
