A strong contender for "best stay" of our 2 month road trip. We were in the Lightkeepers studio 5 adjacent to the cafe, & you can drive right to it so only a few metres to carry your luggage in.
The studio is probably the smallest accommodation on site and is designed for a couple, but we LOVED it. Despite the "roaring forties" outside it's warm & cosy. Sensational views and we loved that after day guests left the site it was just us & a couple of other overnight guests in another cottage.
That "aloneness" really hammers home what life might have been like for lightkeepers in 19th century
There's a TV screen but no reception so a supply of DVDs is provided
It's got everything you need including very adequate breakfast provisions - granola, white bread, butter, juices, milk, great local jam, honey and local coffee.
The kitchenette has a rice cooker, microwave & electric fry pan, so be prepared to cook your own evening meal.
Every staff member we spoke to was chatty & helpful.

Fresh baked scones on arrival and an amazing breakfast spread was laid on quite unexpectedly by our wonderful host. A lovely spot handy for services but also secluded and surrounded by koala habitat.

Very comfortable room, lovely property and family. We saw koalas, fed the sheep and got to hang out with the dingos and learn lots. Great location for getting out and going on some walks and down to the beach.

Love the view, environment and cleanliness, friendly staff as well , initially had a problem with my booking and they helped me to change my room without any hassle, stayed in tree house for two nights and had an exceptional experience , 100% recommend it… price for what they provide is decent

Great location, it super close to the beach and in a quiet street. The studio was clean and easy to access. There is a nice little yard with an outdoor chair and table which was lovely. The studio was spacious enough to hang out in but still nice and cosy. The host was always contactable and accommodating.
We stayed on 3rd floor, great rooms, great location on edge of centre and very convenient. Apartment was very clean, comfortable and great views out over the sea. Definitely will stay there on return visits. Michael is a great host, thank you.
The room was clean and spacious. Check-in process was really easy as well - we arrived late, but the owners left us really easy instructions to follow. The neighbourhood is quiet and quaint, which is what my partner and I really liked. There is a host of restaurants nearby ranging from asian to your usual brunch stuff.
The Apollo Guest House is a meticulously maintained property in a picturesque seaside location , beautiful furnishings and furniture , spotlessly clean and managed by a charming host Stuart. It was one of the nicest guest houses in which we have stayed
It has great location, at the quiet street, next to the sea and golf course with walkign distance to city centre where all cafe, restaurants and shops are located. The check in process was extremely smooth as Amanda provided all the informaiton in advance like the driving directons, code for the door, recommendations on the place for breaky, lunch and dinner. Great place to stay.
