Surrounded by the beautiful mountain scenery of the Kitzbühel Alps, the Gasthof Aschenwald is located in the Moosen district of Westendorf, only 8.7 mi away from Kitzbühel.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. We have been there now several times, it is exactly what we need, clean, comfortable and very peaceful. Close to the ski-lifts (short car drive) and immediate at the house hiking trails start. Peace, quiet and nature and very friendly hosts, Free welcome fruit and water on arrival.

It is around 15 mins from town, 25 mins to the gondola but I hired a ski locker near the slopes and it’s a pleasant walk in and out. I enjoyed the walk. One day I got the ski bus, 5 mins walk from pension to Fieberbrunn it took 20 mins and the ski was amazing over to saalbach
I was a solo traveller skiing and it was great having half board as I didn’t have to do anything. Well looked after
A well presented, spotlessly clean apartment. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. There is an excellent ski/storage room adjacent to the apartment. The kitchen was kitted out with everything you need and the extras including larder items, dishwasher tablets, plently of kitchen clothes etc were appreciated. Very quiet location but only a 3 minute walk to the lift for skiing, hiking, or mountain biking. And a 5 minute walk to the centre of the town. Highly recommended. 10/10.

The hosts are very kind and helpful, the room was excellent, the view fabolous! Very nice, quite place with everything you need! Close to the city center.
Great location to explore St Johann in the summer and close to the train station too. Rooms were comfortable, clean and a good size and had a private balcony. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The rooms were very quiet and blackout curtains help for a good night sleep. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The Host gave us a very pleasant welcome and was available to provide plenty of information and suggestions about restaurants and other local amenities to visit.
With a 20 mins walk it is possible to reach Sankt Johan city center through a nice pedestrian path.
