We absolutely loved staying at the Cafe Pension Alpina. The location was incredible! We loved being right next to the Cable Car! The room met all of our needs. We ate all meals at the restaurant located on the lower floor. The food was delicious, large portions and cost effective. Would stay here again!

Location was ok, a bit too squeezed into the mountains and therefore a bit depressive. And it was nowhere really to walk except along the pretty narrow main road which was also used by transport.

This hotel is very near the center of Scharnitz and next to an italian restaurant that had great tortellini. I don't usually use spas/saunas, but their facility was amazing, and I felt relaxed after a long day of hiking. Scharnitz is a very small town, so it's within easy walking distance of the trailhead/info center as well as the train station. The staff was also very nice and allowed me to leave my main pack at the hotel while I went for a hike, much appreciated their hospitality.

One of the best places I have ever stayed! Christine is a great host, and pride of ownership is evident in her lovely property. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Bus stop across street makes it easy to get into town. Quiet location with beautiful view of the city and mountains. Appreciated the free bus pass received for our 2 night stay. Highly recommend and would gladly stay again.
My second visit to the pension. The pension is close to the main train station and the city centre. The room was clean and simple (beds, table with two seats, TV). The staff was very friendly, followed me to the room, and offered to answer any questions about the accommodation or the city.
Although I didn´t use it, I appreciate the minibar with drinks or chocolates in the hall - the price was 2 EUR for each item, which is cheaper than in other hotels.
Great location, right next to the train station but still completely quiet due to good sound proofing. Walking distance to city center. Breakfast was available at level 13, with a fantastic view, and per request, glutenfree bread was provided. Comfortable bed and restful sleep.
The hostel has a great location (i though first it is too close to the main road, but ignore this as this road is a tunnel witha nice park on top). Really close to the Schloss and hking area, nice Tram goes up the hill to the forest behind. Good to reach with the train or event on foof (if you like to walk) from the city center.
