Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We decided to treat ourselves to the stay in this cute place and we are very happy we did. The place is beautiful, full of birds and flowers and Lucila is the most cheerful and helpful of hosts (we made a good use of the pool too). The location is great as well. We ended up staying longer than we planned as we couldn't face going back to Buenos Aires after our stay here.
Never heard of Areco until days before and just visited on our travels.... The friendly welcome we received from Julian's parents, all the help during our stay. We had a great time in Areco, a fascinating town to visit. Great bars and restaurants too. Almacen de Ramos Generales for food, Boliche De Bessonat bar is a must, try the Fernet. El Mitre and Tokio also worth a visit and the best cafe Tucano. We had a great time and Julian was an excellent host.
Lucas is an amazing host, super responsive and offering excellent recommendations. He was incredible understanding and flexible with us. The house is in an excellent location an easy walk to the historic and charming downtown and main square as well as the pink bridge. The house is a traditional home with a nice porch, rustic charm and cool local art. There's also a small store across the street to buy water and basics.
The hotel is like a magic passage out to a secret garden. It is perfectly situated on one of the central plazas and yet provides a quiet oasis to lounge in having returned from strolling the town. It's easy and other-worldly.
Hector is a great host, very attentive and sent helpful information before our trip. The garden is beautiful with flowers and birds.
A small fix of our shower head was also done instantly!
