We stayed here for two nights while visiting El Calafate. This location is a bit outside of the main city so I would recommend staying here if you have a car for transportation. Parking is located on the streets right outside of the hostel - plenty of parking. We stayed in a private room with private bathroom and it was spacious and the facilities appeared to still be new, however, our shower drain was clogged and the shower water leaked out onto the bathroom floor. Additionally, our body soap/shampoo containers were empty and were not filled up prior to us starting our stay. Otherwise, breakfast was adequate - nothing too fancy (toast, coffee, juice) and there was a nice view of the lake from the rooftop. Also, next to our room was a shared dormitory and we could hear muffled talking through the walls but ear plugs fixed that issue at night.

I think if the host requested the check in time to be sent to them more ahead of time, will be good. I didn't get their message while out hiking in El Chaltén, no signal, back in town and didn't check. Kinda made them waited till late in the evening, i feel bad about it.
The view from the window is nice, you can see the lake from the room!! very very nice.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The tours they offer in the hostel are much cheaper than the ones you see on the internet or in agencies in the city center. I definitelly recommend taking a tour with the hostel, I did and it was really worth it!
The beds are comfortable, internet was okay, there is a very well equipped kitchen, clean toilets. Hot showers. Warm sheets.
Nice quiet hostel only 10mins walk from the main hub of town. Kitchen was pretty well equipped. The people working there were really helpful and we booked a trip to Perito Moreno with them for much cheaper than we'd seen online.

Great hostel, super clean and comfy, ideally located a few minutes away from the bus station. The staff is truly awesome, very helpful and friendly. Kitchen is big and functional, and the breakfast is nice, with fresh fruits and a variety of choice. Very hot showers, and cute common spaces.
Great location with elevated view of the lake, on the quiet edge of town but with easy distance of everything. Nice home and patio, large yard. Fabulous host.
May is a great hostess, the location is good, close to the bust terminal and some 15 minutes walk from the city centre.

- the location is amazing. Wonderful views and away from the city. Felt very peaceful and relaxing. Close to the lake (5min walk). Takes 40 minutes to walk to the city centre so not a very walkable distance but local taxis were super cheap so not a big issue.

Great host! We have got every day for breakfast scramble egg from his own chickens. Fresh orange juice and it was a nice place in the city center. Central but quiet. We enjoyed it very much
Great location on the way to the glacier Pertito Moreno, across from Glaciarium (Patagonian Ice Museum). Quiet place outside of the main tourist drag. Very cosy and comfortable property and room. And, most of all, great host Susana who took fantastic care of us and helped us with all questions that we had.
