Absolutely loved the experience of staying at Playa Brava - well worth the effort of the hike in! We did the walk from El Zaino to Playa Brava (took 5.5 hours incl time to swim at Cabo San Juan on the way) and then exited via Calabazo the next day - certainly recommend doing it in this direction. Both ways it is quite a steep hike but well worth it! We found that AllTrails was a really good app to see the trail map/elevation etc. which you can download and follow with GPS. Pack lightly and take plenty of water - food and drinks available at Playa Brava but at an expectedly high cost. Much more tranquil than the masses of people at San Juan. Recommend the bungalows if you can afford it - huge room with view of the beach, private hammocks underneath your bungalow and deck chairs to take to the beach, whereas the hammocks are all in one hut together. You also get access to your own private bathroom (short walk from bungalow) whereas the hammocks share 3 bathrooms between 20-30 people.

I did not want to leave Serrano Glamping when my stay was coming to an end. Clean room, great big balcony where you can observe the beautiful jungle, comfortable bed. It felt like having an immersive jungle experience, but at the fraction of a price. The hosts were so so kind, friendly and accommodating. They made sure I had everything I needed, and that I really enjoyed my stay. I also really enjoyed the food that I had on site, so give it a try when you are there.

Excellent, attentive staff. Nice food. Exceptionally good early morning "Bird Tour" with personable and very well informed, English-speaking guide. Binoculars supplied. Saw 29 species within the site itself and along a short section of the track outside. We stayed for two nights. One night would not have been enough.

This cabana in Taganga is really amazing. We had 6 nights here and enjoyed all of them. Taganga itself can be a bit hectic, therefore staying at Bareke Azul on the hillside was just wonderful - only 5 min from centre of Taganga but far enough to get some peace, quiet and wonderful views. Also, one of the owners Ramon is just a really great and friendly host. All in all, we had an amazing stay at Bareke Azul. It’s not a luxury hotel, but considering the price, it’s perfect.

Jason and his family were wonderful, warm, and welcoming hosts, who played a huge part in making our stay in Minca a memorable and incredible experience. The accommodation is surrounded by beautiful nature, with amazing views and sunsets visible from the property. You can easily walk or take moto-taxis to and from the city centre, however the property is also accessible by car. We Will definitely come back in the future.

Really beautiful cabin room overlooking the Sierra Nevada, the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff gave us complimentary expresso and were always there when we needed something. The food was also great! Would definitely recommend:)
