Due to our car breaking down, which we had to have fixed, we were able to stay for a very reasonable, minimal figure past the checkout time due to the wonderfully accommodating nature of the owner…

This is an amazing spot in the hills around Riosucio. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite my limited Spanish. Thank you guys so much for having me and making this my favourite part of my travel in Colombia <3 The biannual Carnival del Diablo was on while I was in town. Very little information online but there were thousands of people there, and everybody was having a great time together. Lots to keep busy. The "glamping" tents out the back of the lodge are incredible. They're next to a little stream and very comfortable. There is a bus that runs every hour and a half into town and back. You can catch it near the main square, or ask one the taxis or scooters to take you up for around 10,000 pesos, if I remember correctly.
