Al-Nawatef ECO camp- Dana Nature Reserve, hotel in Dana

Featuring free bikes and views of garden, Al-Nawatef ECO camp- Dana Nature Reserve is a recently renovated campground located in Dana, 21 km from Shobak Castle.

I had the pleasure of staying at Al-Nawatef ECO Camp in Dana Nature Reserve, and it was truly one of the best stays I've ever had. The service was exceptional—easily the best I've experienced. The camp offers an authentic taste of Bedouin life, making the experience all the more memorable. Mohammed and Ibrahim from Yemen were incredible hosts, always ensuring our tea cups were full without delay. We planned a hike to Wadi Ghuweir, and while the transportation cost was 30 JD per person, Abu Bilal kindly suggested alternative options that helped us save money. He was an honest and deeply principled man, making our experience even more special. This was a stay I will never forget, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and heartwarming experience.

Ein lahda camp-site, hotel in Dana

Situated 33 km from Shobak Castle, Ein lahda camp-site offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as barbecue facilities.

We loved our stay here. Staff was lovely and the surroundings and views are gorgeous...very peaceful. We booked it thinking it was close to Wadi Ghaweir. It turned out I had made a mistake as the camp is close to the entrance of Dana Reserve but our trail was quite far. They helped us to find a driver who will take us there and gave us informations about the trail and we were also able to order 2 lunch boxes for the hike with lots of food and drinks and at a very reasonable price. We loved this camp and will definitely come back again.

Wild Dana Eco Lodge- Hotel-Eco-Camp, hotel in Dana

Wild Dana Eco Lodge- Hotel-Eco-Camp has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Dana. Offering a bar, the property is located within 27 km of Shobak Castle.

The most fabulous view and sunsets you can imagine. Peaceful, serene. The dinners were surprisingly very good, generous and varied. We had dinner 3 nights with no repeats. Breakfast was standard fare for Jordan. We did the Wadi Ghweir hike which was stunning and a lot of fun, but perhaps a bit much driving involved. I would happily spend a week next time just staring at that view.

Feynan wild camp, hotel in Dana

Feynan wild camp in Al Khuraybah provides accommodation with free bikes and a shared lounge. This apartment features free private parking and a 24-hour front desk.

This place is crazy. But honestly one of the best experiences I had in Jordan. Got a little lost trying to locate it after a long hike, but managed to find it ok! Hosts were super lovely and accommodating, with lovely home cooked food. The camp is really basic, but has clean toilets and showers and everything you need, but it is a wild camp, so don’t expect much. Sleeping under the stars was a highlight and absolutely surreal. If you decide to stay here (which you should), definitely just lean into the experience. It’ll be worth it.

Breakfast and dinner were very delightful! The room is super cozy and has a light installed that it looks like there is a fireplace burning inside. The animals on the premise are sweet. Yousef and Shadi are both engaged boys who want to make your stay comfortable as much. Ps: watch sunset on a rock at the white dome trail or enjoy the tree platform near the entrance which is a secret hide away.

Amazing location for a peaceful rest with the beautiful natural reserve of Dana. The owner was very friendly and he arranged a nice hiking trip based on our needs (we were travelling with a young child). Food at dinner was amazing! Great variety and a friendly environment within a room with couches and sofas. Nice room (tree house) and excellent service by all the staff. The 3-hour hiking with a guide in the biosphere was fantastic, highly recommended also if you are travelling with children.

Object with a lot of potential sadly because of war Jordan tourism dropped. Very nice owners, easy contact, tasty dinner and breakfast. Room was spacious with shower and heater, comfy bed. Outside in the hall tables and extra room to dine and integrate. We played music and smoked Shisha even though we were only guests that night. Dana Reserve is a perl in Jordan where you can walk, relax and encounter a unique biosphere.

Unique cabins on the edge to the valley. Very friendly staff. Do not expect hotel level facilities. It is rather camping outdoor style. We liked it. Nice to start beautiful walks from there.

This place exceeded our expectations. The staff are kind and so relaxed, a breath of fresh air after visiting Petra/Wadi Rum. We stayed in the dome cottage since it looked unique and really like it. Beds comfy, hot water (nice plus), amazing views, would totally recommend. The food is the best we've had, common room is cozy and had excellent wifi, and the constant tea was really nice. Parking was easy right at the camp.
