This is a place for pot addicts. Only when smoking pot the whole day, you become so delucional to consider this a 9.x on Booking or a 4.9 on Google. If you are looking for a hostel to stay with some emphatic guests and staff, forget this place, unless you are the former.
There is no WiFi. The dorm is a mattress hall, no beds just superhard mattresses, which of course you won't feel if you are numb from smoking. And it doesn't help if you put two mattresses ontop of each other, which is the case here, if the first mattress already absorbs everything — it's not twice as soft, it keeps the bad softness of the initial mattress. But I don't expect an accommodation manager to know physics. But it's every bad manager's mistake to never try the stuff you sell to customers yourself. Lying in one position for more than 30 min on these mattresses, impossible. Furthermore, the dorm gets unbareably hot during the day, so you can't stay there. Fortunately, there is a terrace with roof to hang. But the dorm also get freezing cold at night and the tiny blanket they offer you is totally insufficient to keep you warm at night.

The worst stay I have ever booked in my life. We haven't stayed in the property as we couldn't find the property on the shared property location after walking for around 2hrs. So we had to stay in a nearby home that we found while walking in the middle of the night. Since those stranger people offered to stay in their home we were safe.

Washroom was not up to the mark was not that clean. Bed was not comfy and was making unnecessary noice.. Need to improve, location is near the market.. Good if we get the stay at 1k per night 2 person.
The location and the view from the common place of the parvati river is just phenomenal. The vibe is very peaceful and chill. The beds were also very comfy and they helped us replenish our energy every night. Wabi Sabi is a web where once you are stuck then you won't be able to leave this place. Me and my friends cancelled our kheerganga trek and came back to this hostel.

I had a wonderful time at Dog and Hill homestay during my two-night Kasol trip. The place was super clean and had a cozy vibe. The caretaker, a lovely lady, made my stay extra special with her helpful and caring attitude. Although it's a bit away from the Kasol-Manikaran highway, the beautiful surroundings more than make up for it. If you're looking for a clean, cozy, and charming retreat, this place is highly recommended!
