Situated in Nottingham Road and only 21 km from Fort Nottingham Museum, Springvale Farm features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This was an unexpected stay in the area after car troubles but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! We stumbled on this farm in a panicky effort to find pet-friendly accommodation and I still can't believe our good fortune. The farm, and everyone on it, are fantastic. We were looking for a room for 1 night and ended up staying a lot longer. The cottages are incredibly comfortable, spacious, spotless, thoughtfully decorated and well kitted out in all rooms - the electric blankets, log fires, hot tub and freshly baked bread were amazing! There is plenty of space for the family, friends and furbabies. The setting is pretty spectacular - what a beautiful part of the world - and there are plenty of things to do within the property including fishing, hiking and birdwatching. Take the time to find the cranes, they're beautiful! A very big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our stay so special. Deborah, in particular, was fantastic and really saved the day, I cannot speak highly enough of her and everything she has done for us - it is so encouraging to know that there are such kind people in this world, who will drop everything to come and rescue complete strangers. Do yourself a favour and book one of the cottages, it is 100% worth it!!

Offering a garden and garden view, Thyme Out Weltevreden Farm is situated in Curryʼs Post, 13 km from Bosch Hoek Golf Club and 22 km from Karkloof Nature Reserve. The attention to detail is amazing! Everything was thought of and you can see the hosts try hard to make sure each guest's stay is welcoming and that you have everything you need. Very comfortable with very high quality furniture and amenities. Will definitely be back!

Beverley Country Cottages is set in Dargle within the Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands, 50 km from Pietermaritzburg. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Lovely large room in old farm house with great bathroom. Tons of atmosphere with beautiful farm surroundings. Were served a delcious homecooked dinner and breakfast in front of the fireplace by very friendly and profocient staff. Highly recommended.

This guest house offers award-winning cuisine in the tranquil setting of KwaZulu Natal’s Drakensberg Mountains, right on the border of Giants Castle Nature Reserve. Everything was perfect, the location is wonderful, all the personnel are adorable and kind, the place is extremely cosy (rooms or living room etc), and the food is to die for (with entirely different menus each night / I stayed 3 nights).

Featuring mountain views, Rose Mountain Cottage provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 22 km from Bosch Hoek Golf Club. The accommodation was perfect, in beautiful nature. Very well equipped. Brendon and Michel were very helpful. I can only recommend.

Old Balgowan Farm Cottage, a property with a terrace, is situated in Balgowan, 10 km from Bosch Hoek Golf Club, 24 km from Midmar Dam, as well as 27 km from Fort Nottingham Museum. Peaceful and great views. Comfortable, spacious and really felt like home.

Copperleigh Trout Cottages offers self-catering accommodation set on the banks of the trout-stocked Mavela Dam, located 30 km from the town of Howick in KZN, of which 7km is gravel road. Very nice cabin, with a very good view from the deck. Lots of privacy. Everything you need!

Offering barbecue facilities and mountain view, Giantscup Wilderness Reserve is situated in Underberg, 22 km from Himeville Museum and 23 km from Himeville Nature Reserve. Beautiful views, plenty to do for kids, very private and the cottage was clean, tidy and spacious.
