The location was amazing, being out on the water at Han La bay was brilliant as it was very hot when we were there. The evening meal (extra cost) was delicious. The fresh oysters grown right at the eco farm were amazing. There are kayaks available to use and we paddled off around the bay for a couple of hours. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for something a little different.

Lovely rural location with pretty views of the hills. The staff were so lovely and helpful, it’s a family that run this place. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. They organised a boat tour for us and it was very good.

Very beautiful green area, nice rustic huts and friendly animals. But the best are the owners, who were extremely helpful with organising our trip!

The location was spectacular! The food was utterly delicious – fresh fish and oysters caught below the barge. And the bathroom facilities were much better than we were expecting for a floating eco farm (good, warm showers and clean toilets). Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, so thank you for having us!

Superb quiet stay in the middle of the island. Family run. Lan was an amazing host. So we're the rest of his family and staff. Excellent room. Very comfortable. Great food too. Very quiet rural village. Only 10 to 15 minutes by car or scooter to Cat Ba town. Only minutes to the caves and National Park. Lan can rent scooters, organise taxis and even the bus back to Hanoi. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent value for money. Rooms are spacious and modern, the bathroom is brand new. But more than an accommodation, Rustic Homestay is a very friendly and welcoming place. If you are lucky, the owners will probably inviting you to dinner. They will pampering yourself and helping you for absolutely everything. It’s a very lovely place.

It was a beautiful location with amazing hosts. For our first 3 nights in Vietnam, we could not have asked for a better experience. If we ever come back to Cat Ba, Rustic House will be where we will stay.

Beautiful family-run floating farm stay, situated in a remote bay in Lan Ha; which is a perfect location if you’re looking for an escape. The hosts were incredibly warm & welcoming, and the home cooked meals were fantastic. Kayaking around the area is an amazing experience.
