The host of the property was just lovely! He gave us lots of good tips for places to see, was kind enough to provide us with warm jackets for stargazing at night, and shared a delicious dragon fruit from his farm. He has a chicken running around the property, and he shared some fun facts about the love frog, which to us sounded like a bird. The room itself was very cozy and comfortable and there was a nice touch with a vinyl record player and a few records with Hawaiian music.
The hostess was very kind; when we showed up, she gave us a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon suite, which was a separate cottage. The Belle Vue is on 4 acres of farm land, and I think it has the best view on the island. We couldn’t get over how beautiful it was! Additionally, there were lots of friendly geckos on the balcony, and beautiful birds as the bird feeders are kept well stocked. It was extremely quiet, the cottage itself was pretty, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.
Aloha spirit. Private beautiful, safe property. Best location for exploring area. Mountain View(early morning bakery next to hand poured coffee house), Volcano National Park(entrance fee good for one week), Pahoa(Sunday farmers/craft market and Puna District. Amazingly strong internet connection if your a remote worker.
The location and house set up was great. It was wonderful to be in close walking distance to the farmers' market, bakery and other offerings in downtown Hilo. We really appreciated the comfy beds, beach towels and snorkels too!
Excellent location with an amazing view of the bay from the main living area and balcony. It was comfortable, clean, quiet, and in a very convenient spot to walk to the Farmers’ Market, restaurants, etc.
Prepare to be delighted; Carolina is an incredible host, making the entire experience at her farm a wonderful time. I love the vegetation, outdoor/ open kitchen bath, and the cabin was very comfortable. Live the off grid experience! But! There's Wi-Fi :) and it was also very good.
We walked in and first looked out across the Pacific, it was breathtaking. Waves crashing against the volcanic reefs far below, headlands jutting out into the ocean, and beautiful sunsets. The breakfasts were wonderful, homebaked scones, fresh fruit from their farm.
Amazing view. We absolutely love the farm setting (we have fresh eggs and fruits from the farm every day!!!) and the friendly hosts (Randy is super helpful). It’s a short drive from Hilo. We also got a chance to meet other guests staying on the farm house. Our cottage is lovely and well lit and has a nice kitchenette and patio. Absolutely a gem!
We stayed at the Aeolian Ranch upon arrival to the big island. It was a great place to unwind from our trip, and had easy access to Kailua-Kona the next morning for breakfast and a farmers market.
