Located in Corbeni, 1 km from the Antonesti Monastery, Pensiunea Dandu offers a garden with a children’s playground and barbecue facilities. Free WiFi is provided in the entire building and free private parking is possible on site. Perfect located right on the Transfagarasan. There are secured parking for motorcycles behind gate. It seems popular with motorcycle travelers doing the Transfagarasan. My room had a small balcony perfect for a afternoon beer after all the riding. Cold beers can purchased cheap across the street in a shop. There is a cafe 50 m away, which do simply hot meals.
Arefu
At the farm stay, all units come with a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. A balcony with an outdoor dining area and mountain views is offered in all units. The units are equipped with heating facilities. Beautiful place over the village Arefu, in nature. Silence and privacy. The host was very nice and helpful.
Bărăşti
Offering free WiFi and a garden, Pensiunea Eden is set in Bărăşti, 2 km from Cicăneşti and 17.6 km from Curtea de Argeș. Free private parking is available on site.

Clean. Perfectly equiped kitchen. Nice garden and helpful host. Perfect location for early start for Transfăgărășan.

Very nice rustic Romanian house. A nice hot tub (for extra additional costs). Ideal for a group of friends. Every room comes with their own private bathroom. The hosts were waiting for us and were very nice. A very nice atmosphere beside the river. Airco downstairs available. Nice balconies to rooms upstairs Location is nice at the beginning of Transfagarasan
This was one of the best places on our vacation. Very clean, everything is new, plenty of space, everything you need for a holiday is available. Beautiful garden with fruit trees. Very close to Transfagarasan. The presence of many trout farms nearby is a big plus. We are very glad that we visited this place.
If you’re looking for a rustic stay with wonderful hosts, this is it. Leo loved the dog and even got to drive the tractor.
The rustic look, nice garden, friendly staff and excellent breakfast made our stay here very pleasant. Will definitely keep this location on our list for future trips.
The food was good. The portions are rather small - they are (not unsuccessfully) leaning towards fine dining. It's a very upscale restaurant for such a remote area. The rooms were very clean, well equipped and unexpectedly well insulated. Great place for a short hike, where you can enjoy the beautiful rural landscape, surrounded by peaceful farm animals.
The host and family were very welcoming and helpful, they even took us to the farm part to meet the ponies and sheeps :D They helped with extra blankets or anything else we needed. There is nice greenery and many games for the kids to play (and even some for the adults).
Nice rooms, clean and functional accomodation, right in the middle of the village. Perfect for bikers, right on Fogaras road. Grocery store in walking distance, trout farm great for dinner, helpful owner and nice community area to gather with friends.
Rustic & modern combined to perfection. I highly recommend this peaceful & beautiful place close to Transfăgărășan. Everything was done with a lot of care Success!
Everything. Owner and her mum were friendly, even gave us some home-made cakes, location also was perfect. Dinner ar a nearby trout farm was speechless. The room was the typical motel room, but the outside space was magical, the flowers, wooden swings, hammock. They also had a common kitchen to make coffee in the morning, equipped with fridge, microwave, stovetop and sink. I would recommend this place and would stay here again if going to Transfagarasan.
Lovely hosts and one of the best restaurants we have eaten in, anywhere. Everything is made fresh from the farm. This is an exceptional place.
