In the country overlooking the valley and the town. Facilities were new and owner Sarah was super. After driving from Madrid and arriving around 3:30 we didn’t want the hassle of driving into town for dinner (town is typical rural Portugal) but every restaurant in the area delivers so we sat by the pool, had a beer or wine, jumped into the jacuzzi and waited for food. Bed very comfortable, shower great and lots of stars at night. There are not many rooms so we had the whole grounds to ourselves 😀 Plus the national park is in the vicinity for hiking the next day.

Without any earlier experience in this region, we were just looking for a place to stay at. Thanks to our wonderful hosts and some great guests, we left with a lot more. Quinta dos Patos is situated in Pinhanços and has a private pool and pool views. I absolutely love this place! It was amazing staying at Quinta dos patos. I was traveling with my two kids and we were alone on the quinta. It was like we were staying in the castle. Clean swimming pool, air condition in each bedroom, beautiful territory.
