This little cabin is nestled in paradise! Sea and Karl and their menagerie of animals are a delight! I loved the luscious decor and I woke every morning to coffee and glorious views out over old man rock.
Sea and Karl were full of great information about day trips to local spots, and friendly lovely hosts. I’ll 100% be back again! The staff were also excellent and went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasure.
Onekaka
Set in Onekaka, River Song Retreat Golden Bay offers accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. When staying at the farm stay, guests can use private entrance. The location was ideal for a peaceful retreat from our busy lives. The surroundings are very beautiful - lots of open green spaces, hammock under the fruit trees, birdsong, clean air, babbling brook to enjoy. Loved the creative touches in the house truck, the shower unit and communal kitchen. Our host and extended family were very warm and welcoming. Can't wait to book in again.
I loved staying at this property. It was situated in a beautiful semi rural area, views of the sea and rolling hills. It had a sparkling swimming pool and an adjustable height basketball hoop. The house was new clean and warm. I’d strongly recommend countryview haven

Exactly what we were looking for on a 3 night stay, owners were amazing, and the rural property allowed a quiet place to recharge half way through our trip. Lots of good eatery's around and an amazing massage business local to the accommodation.
Loved the farm cottage and the beautiful surroundings and hills. Was so comfortable and everything you needed was there. Loved walking over the farm and playing cards infront of the fire. Absolutely beautiful place to visit.
This is a phantastic accommodation. Rene and Marianne are perfect hosts on on a small farm, which is in fact a little paradise. `hard to believe that a previous lawer has been able to transform himself to a master of breakfast creations. Everthing on the table comes from the farm. Sauna and a large whirlpool are located in the garden behind a large aviary, so that one can enjoy privacy while sitting in the whirlpool and looking to the stars.
Its rustic uniqueness and quiet surroundings
A rural location on a working farmlet, albeit the property is quite close to SH60. Takaka is ten minutes away. Very comfortable accommodation with a large well equipped lounge. The barbecue and deck gave us a couple of enjoyable evenings. The hosts were excellent as too were the breakfasts which largely consisted of produce from their farmlet. If you enjoy outdoor spa baths and swims, there's a real bonus outside. Thank you to Rene and Marianne.
Amazing place to retrieve and wind from busy life style. It's nestled at a quite location. Clean and very spacious. This farm stay accomodation has everything that you need to have a comfortable stay. House near the river although I didn't explore as I only stayed for a night.
