The farmhouse lives up to its name, it was cosy with a lovely old fireplace but with all modern comforts (wifi etc). Awesome view of farmland and animals, very quiet and peaceful. The hosts are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We arrived to freshly picked fruit and beautiful flowers - such a thoughtful gesture as we had had a long drive.
The barn is spacious and the rural location pleasant. Easy 6 minutes drive into town. Nice outdoor area.
Our stay at this historical farmhouse was incredible. The morning views of the sunrise and grazing cows and sheep were breathtaking. The cozy interior, especially the fireplace, made our evening warm and relaxing. The owner’s gift of farm-fresh honey was a sweet touch. A perfect blend of history and comfort—highly recommended!
Quaint, rustic rural site. Great place to come in from the rain after 5 days camping.
Enormously friendly and helpful couple that lives at the Farmstay. They went out of their way to make a truly memorable experience around the farm and around the town. I would highly recommend to stay there and would definitely do so again myself. Thank you for hosting me!
A very tasty breakfast that was made for me including muesli, toast and free range eggs. When I arrived at night I mentioned that I was an amateur astronomer. Peter pulled out a whopping great big telescope from the garage. From both of our apps we identified a lot of stars and constellations in the sky and saw the rings of Saturn. The clearness of the sky rivalled that of Queenstown. Nice, friendly hosts Peter and Sarah. They also do farm stay. I thoroughly recommend the place to stay.
The best farm stays we ever had. Peter, Sarah, and their family are excellent, and the farm stay is more than funny. We learned a lot from them. It is actually the last trip before we leave NZL after a long time living there. We will miss it hard and miss Peter and Sarah too. We are thankful that this last trip happened in Peter and Sarah's place. Best wishes to Peter, Sarah and their family.
Lovely rustic hideaway in tranquil setting, with bucolic views, birdsong chorus, piping hot woodfired hot tub and the most amazingly comfortable bed! Perfect couples retreat. Thoughtful touches like flashlights for nightime, a woodstove for chilly nights and farm breakfast supplies in the fridge. We wish we'd booked longer!
