El Misty River Retreat está situado en un hermoso humedal de 8 hectáreas, a 10 minutos en auto (8,5 km) de Blenheim. El alojamiento cuenta con alpacas. Very nice two bedroom lodge and kitchen was well-equiped with good quality utensils and crockery. Bathroom was nice too. The lodge was well-cleaned and maintained and looked spanking new. Behind the lodge (though a gate) were the owners' alpacas (and a sheep) that you can hand-feed. My son and wife had a great time with the alpacas. There was also a washing machine and dryer free to use with free detergent provided. Joanne the owner has put much thought into all the little details for the lodge that would make guests very happy. Excellent value for money. I will choose Misty River Retreat again on my next trip to NZ
