Geiranger
With spectacular views of the Geiranger Fjord and its surrounding mountains, Westerås Gard offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation options with private kitchen facilities. Central Geiranger is 4 km away.
The in-house restaurant is set in a 17th-century barn building, and offers meals and panoramic views of Geiranger. Meals can be enjoyed on the terrace in nice weather.
The location is great, of course, and Arnfin, the host, was super friendly and a wealth of information ... but there was that extra special touch on everything that made our stay absolutely wonderful.
The most beautiful hotel location we experienced in Norway. The view from the room terrace to the fjiord and the mountains was breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel restaurant was also good. We recommend the local trout from the fish farm visible across the fjiord.
We stayed in a two-bedroom cottage. Children loved the goats and lamas walking around the farm area. Location is beautiful. Staff was very helpful. .
Cozy room with rustic vibes.
Stunning place in beautiful surroundings in a traditional farming and fishing community by the coast. I am real proud as a Norwegian that Norway is presented like this.
The old cottage/Farm feel, and the awesome view and animals. It was very quite and the living room was very cozy.
What a stand out. The farmhouse was built in the early part of last century and has lost none of its charm desipite the modern conveniences. The bedroom was large, beautifully presented, and the bed made us melt away. Warm and cosy for the night. Our host was charming and drew the guests together in the most amazing breakfast. This must NOT be missed. Home produce and local delicacies, with good converstaion from the four nationalities present. A return visit would be a must if we can get back to Norway...
The loved the old world charm of the farm house. They have retained the character beautifully. Our room was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable bed. Host Kristin was warm and welcoming, we enjoyed talking to her about Norway and her visits to Australia.
