The tranquillity, serene view, fantastic food especially seafood, fresh fishes and traditional Malay food. The owner, staffs are very helpful to assist me to find a driver for me to move around. It’s a small intimate place. I enjoyed to be on the swing during morning and evening. I forgot to try fishing. Definitely will be back.

Very well maintained and professionally run property. The room we were given was on the ground floor at the rear of the property. It was very peaceful at night and we slept well. After a few weeks of cold or tepid water and low pressure in many other accommodations we were delighted to find the best showers we have had anywhere in Malaysia at The Farmhouse. A short walk to restaurants and local shops in Greentown, a short taxi to Ipoh's new and old towns.
We booked this hotel last minute and suitable to check in midnight. Good to stopover for a rest! It has two branches, the google map led us to another branch. This one is located in the old town
The room was uniquely decorated with a lovely rustic feel. The air conditioning worked well and the room and bathroom were spotless. Very helpful and attentive hotel staff. It was a brisk 15 min walk from town with a short cut over a bridge crossing through a very quiet park. We saw a herd of cows grazing once. There were some very affordable lunch places around the hotel area.
Rustic and well designed
The Farmhouse is the cleanest, professionally run stay we have had in Asia. The area is quiet with some great places to eat nearby or a short grab ride into the old town. Everything was fantastic! We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
The location is right in front of Taiping Lake Garden (Taman Tasik Taiping), which has been name one of the most beautiful lake in Malaysia, and it really carry it's name. The tree across the road, branches touching the water, the reflection on the still water when no wind, the energetics morning with multiple exercise activities happening there, the morning sun ray shooting through the tree, the multiple rare bird species around the late. The hotel is also walking distance to the city center and multiple food place.

The location is excellent. Walking distance to Night Bazaar. We visited Mirror lake, Go Chin Pomelo Orchard Farm, Famous Kampung Kachang Putih, Tambun Lost World & Canning food court. The food choice was plentiful and delicious especially the Sotong Kangkong & Popiah...
Very fantastic environment. Friendly staff for guidance. Must try to stay in this Farmstay.
