Just loved the overall look & feel of the place. Breakfast cooked to order & eaten in the farmhouse kitchen which was lovely.
Lovely accommodation with original beams & rustic doors. Plenty of crockery, pots & pans etc for cooking & a barbecue in the front seating area. In a quiet rural location.
The farmhouse is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the town centre. The room was tastefully furnished, with a large, modern en-suite and a great, roomy shower. Breakfast was tasty with an excellent choice of food. Our host was friendly and efficient.
Both the farm house and the owner were full of character and warmth. The village is very pretty and well worth exploring.
Cosy farmhouse with rustic charm. Wendy was a lovely hostess. Baked her own bread, the eggs were from her own chickens. Lovely clean accommodation. Highly recommended.
Knoll House is unique and you will either love it or hate it. Don't go if you are expecting the four seasons but if you appreciate quirky then you will be in your element. Think of it as a somewhat faded country house in a seaside location and you are not far from the mark. Old fashioned in both style and service, staff are friendly and helpful (although rather rushed due to staff shortages at present). If this appeals to you then visit now as there are plans to redevelop this into a Soho farmhouse style establishment.
relaxed comfort in lovely rural farmhouse
We really enjoyed our stay here. Claire gave us a nice, genuine welcome. We had a lovely cooked breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen chatting with Claire and the other guests. The room was nice and spacious and the setting very rural. There is a nice pub close by to go for an evening meal, although it's walking distance away it has to be reached by car as the roads are very narrow with no pavements. Definitely would recommend this place to stay.
